Mumbai

Lovely Building #1: Mosque near Marine Lines Station

Kandeel #1: Girgaum

Bandra Station: Makes for an artistic picture, but sometimes I wish everyone would just stand still and pose

Bandra Talao: Smells of Poo

King's Kite Centre, S.V. Road: I am deeply in love with this store and can't help but smile whenever I pass it. Am also informed by the owner (a lovely man, easily engaged in random conversation) that a visit here brings good luck.

Bandra: Eunuchs line up for Diwali bakhshish (you go girls..)

Kandeel #2: Kalbadevi

Chogle Building (View from): There's a lovely church next door. Once believed to enjoy the alliegance of the largest
Catholic congregation in Mumbai.

Chogle Building: "Stairs". This unimaginatively titled piece has met with rave reviews (N), much gushing and hysterics (also N) and is widely considered (by both N and me) to be one of my finest pictures yet.

Lovely Building #2: Deutsche Bank office near VT

Shamrock: Flowers on the terrace, M's

Shamrock: Ancient lamp, A's

Shamrock: Guitar, N's

Shamrock: Window sill, Mine

Good Stuff! I love Bandra station, may be 2.00 in the morning when there is a lull between the last local for the night and the next local at 4.30 would be the only period of time to catch it slightly less busy.

i'm still NOT allowed to follow this blog, but allowed to comment... which is, STILL strange ... hmm!

i love the chogle building shot. soemthing about its lighting was mystic, and captivating... i tried to sit and mark out every little detail i could, and obviously the lighting didn't let me pursue as far as i wished to... yeh, its a strangely familiar deja-vu inspiring sort of shot.. made sense?

i also agree with N (i would have not thought who this was till i read *gushing n hysterics* + saw the guitar in possession; either/both leave me no further doubts =) ) the stairs are well captured... i'm curious, about the black n white shots... does that involve photoshopping? (excuse me, if that sounds oh-so lame... but i am wondering :) )

bandra talao looked delightful, you couldn't survive the temptation of revealing that nitty-gritty detail, could you?

and yeh, thats that! i tried keeping the essay short, but brevity really hasn't been my mate, for as long back as i can recall, eh?

cheers!
~j :)

ps: it messed my font and added redundant chars to my previous comment post, a second hence...
